Business Planning Distance Course

Our distance learning course in Business Planning for Schools can provide remote support to your organisation or school to develop a business plan in order to generate income to cover your school’s running costs.

The objectives of the programme are:

  1. To support your organisation to implement the school business model
  2. To increase the income generated and the quality of education in your school

The course will offer ongoing remote support in business and financial planning and management. The final product of the course will be a business plan which will serve as a base for the development of education-oriented income generation projects.

The Business Planning for Schools distance learning course is divided into six Modules and can be taken at your own pace. The course covers the following topics:

  • Defining the Project, Environment & Beneficiaries
  • Resource Assessment & Business Selection
  • Market Research
  • Competitor Analysis
  • Operational Sales & Marketing Plans
  • Management Structure
  • Risk Analysis & Mitigation
  • Finance – individual businesses (P&L, Cashflow, investment, production plan)
  • Finance – institution (financial self-sufficiency)
  • Intergration of the business and education
  • Action Plan

For each Module Teach A Man To Fish will send you reading materials introducing the topic. We will then send you an exercise to guide you through each step in the elaboration of a business plan. Teach A Man To Fish will provide verbal and written feedback on the exercise and give you the opportunity to revise it before submitting a final version. Compiling the exercises from each of the six Modules, you will have a complete Business Plan for your school’s income generation activities!

If you would like additional support from Teach A Man To Fish in implementing the business plan we would be happy to discuss a further partnership.
